Ingredients
700g Butter
700g Soft Brown Sugar
4 Heaped Tablespoon Golden Syrup
955g Porridge Oats
1 Level Teaspoon of Vanilla Flavour
1 Small pinch of Salt
Method
Preheat the oven at 140c.
While the oven is heating up, you need to:
1. Grease your backing tray with butter.
2. line the inside of your baking tray with greaseproof paper and then butter it up.
Make sure the pan you use is big enough to hold 935 grams of oats!
3 Place the pan on the cooker to melt the butter, sugar and syrup. Add your salt and vanilla flavour while stirring it slowly.
When everything has melted together:
4. Turn the heat all the way down and then mix the oats in your pan.
Once the oats and syrup have been fully mixed together:
5. Pour your mix into the baking tray and then smooth it out and make sure it’s all flat with a rolling pin.
6. Put it all in the oven and bake it for about 10 to 15 minutes until it’s a light brown and then take it out of the oven and leave it to cool down.
