Ingredients
Table spoon of Oil, Olive, Veg, sunflower etc…
Large onion – (finely diced) or chopped if you blend it later
½ clove of garlic pressed
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
½ tea spoon of salt
½ tea spoon of black pepper
1 tea spoon of sugar
1 table spoon of lemon
Method
Sweat the onions and garlic off in a pan with the oil slowly with lid on so that the steam softens the onions.
Once the onions are soft put the remaining ingredients in the pan and simmer for an hour, during this time stir it every 5 minutes. This sauce should simmer on a low heat with the lid off.
Blend all the sauce and taste in case it needs seasoning.
